Alana and her co-authors: Alan Bucknam and Tracesea Slater have a proposal into Sage that is under review and we expect to begin: Participatory Action Research 4 Business: Three steps that improve everything soon.  Look for it fall 2010 by Sage Publishing.

This text, geared for educators, as well as Masters and Doctoral students in education, spans the facilitation of participatory action research (PAR) to address complex issues in schools.  The reader will be able to build defensible research using this model.  The text also discusses data driven practice at the intersection of complexity theory as it relates to the school as an organization.

Alana was also lucky enought to have a publisher ask to publish her dissertation.  This deals with PAR as professional development and discusses PAR used in networks to help in the wide range advancement of schools dealing with complex issues - in this case homeless and highly mobile students.
